One would think walking up 350' worth of stairs every morning would get easier over time but in reality it only gets worse.

So Manning got 35 years. The only question remaining is will it be served in a men's or women's facility.

I saw the mention on the news where he said he wants to change his name.

Fact: it is now common knowledge to people wanting this elective & prolonged medical treatment, including the surgeries, that being in prison entitles them to have the entire process paid for by taxpayers.
along with living under special protected status, separate from the main population of inmates.

In other news, a firearm goes off inside a kindergartner's backpack and a Korean War vet can't let the past go, refuses to show any movie with Jane Fonda in it.
I wonder about the sanity of the country.

You need to be careful with "common knowledge" "facts" - they are often not facts at all....

No prisoner has ever received sexual reassignment surgery while in a U.S. prison, and Manning is not likely to become the first.

Just curious, where did you hear this?

If my friends were shot down while J Fonda was cheering, I wouldn't have let go either.

Two different wars, the incident in question was 43 years ago and chances are good that some of his accepted clientele protested and called his friends, more likely the children of friends, baby killers when they came home. Lot to be said for deniability.
