I lost my license often in my much younger years and did a few weeks here and there. I had way more time than money then. Almost 20 years later a day feels like a week, I don't think I could hang anymore.

Too bad, My wife's company is undergoing a merger and they just announced that her position will no longer be needed.
This job was the breadmaker in the family. They mentioned maybe...maybe a chance for another job somewhere else in the company but this would mean having to move to Nashville, TN. Of course I don't want to move. I've been here since 1979 and don't want to live anywhere else(but what choice will I have?)

mergers,........... happened to me twice. lost one job and turned down the other to relocate to fayetville, VA or wherever it was

Owner of the restaurant is all excited our restaurant got 3 bottles of screaming eagle cabernet out of the 6 bottles that are coming to Florida this year, me personally. ..not a wine guy.I cook with a lot of it but that's it.

I look at it that this area is my life. I've turned down a relocate job before in 2000...then that company shut down 6 months later. I know one guy that packed up his family and moved. Years later I saw him back in Austin(what a mess).
Wife's making nearly $30 an hour. That's nearly impossible to copy. If the company offers that for relocate...it's going to be hard to say no..
That's one of the good things. The merger is guessed to happen around September. They are estimating up to 6 months from there. She'll get a bonus if she stays until there.
