The compound i shoot is 37 lbs.

I have to make a choice between target shooting and archery before my dad buys a competition bow or CPC airgun

I would choose the bow as u can get more use from it than a air gun

I would not hunt big game on the specific farm i hunt on, only small birds, ground squirrels and maybe pheasants or guineafowl. I would shoot bigger game with a .22 (porcupines, duiker but we leave them)

I love the .22, my one uncle has a .22 magnum rifle with a 3-9X scope and a suppressor that i used to get a 70 Metre kill on a guineafowl. Quite tasty

In Arizona we had gambel's quail, but they would be to easy to hunt. Simply putting a bottomless frame we would prop 1 side up on a stick tie string to stick, bait trap and walk 20 ish feet away, it was to easy, it also worked for jackrabbits and cats

Frame was wrapped in chicken wire, not sure if it would work as well on guineas as they seem more weary
