Official Off Topic Discussion Thread #1

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am not upset, I just made a joke about angelphish unfollowing me and it was posted here. I don't really see how the posts are "circular".
Because the same stories come up again and again.

As some of you may recall I have been feuding with some of the sqiuirrels that live in my area due to them digging up my plants and messing with my bonsais.
I found this stuff at Home Depot and so far it has been well worth it's price as none of the vermin have been around since I have sprayed it.

Thank you for not killing them lol

Meanwhile behind the façade of this innocent looking bookstore, Hendre Hendre is well on his way to becoming a Sociopath ;)

What are these stories that you speak of?
Water change threads, Spamming PMs about your forum, repeatedly asking me to write stuff on your forum when I made it clear that I don't want to. Stop kidding yourself you know exactly what i'm talking about

Squirrels cause immeasurable amounts of damage on the farm, there are too many of them and no other way to really deal with them easily. Cow lick is so expensive now and the gobble that stuff in no time

This is really a discussion ? Your upset because someone isnt following you ? Seriously what did i miss
hello; Our member "carp" has a history of these sorts of posts and a pattern of moving a thread into a series of similar back and forths. I think of them as "circular posts" sort of like when we get into a discussion with a child who keeps asking "why" after every response you give. He get a lot of negative attention and seems to thrive on it.

My take is that the "unfollowing" or "following" has not so much to do with anything as does the attention gained.

I do not think you missed much. I have considered "unfollowing" the Carp myself and may yet do it. His practice is not a problem in a lounge thread such as this one. However the practice has happened in some regular threads where members were trying to get needed information and his "circular posts" have taken up pages of such a thread.
I'll be perfectly honest, there's ONE reason I "follow" people and I find this to be the ONLY use it really has - is easy locating. Same concept of a "Friends List" on your video game console - in order to find someone for PMing, or VM or whatever need to contact them, when you have them on your "Following List" it's as simple as the click of a button.

Regardless, we don't tend to "Follow" people that don't give useful posts, good information, LOLs, etc . If someone deletes you from their following list, that's telling me they would like to NOT contact you or stay in touch with you anymore.
