Just sitting in the car driving and the thought occurred to me I really don't understand this whole liberal movement they're all mad at Trump for comments he made about a culture that completely wipes away women's rights in its extreme form yet they protest and March on Washington for women's rights huh

I really don't understand this whole liberal movement
Hello; I do not understand much of it myself. I may have a slight take on why there are so many protests after the election. Mostly a WAG. (wild a_ _ guess).
First- They pretty much expected their gal to win the election. I only know of one (liberal) locally who I was talking about the election with. They thought it was a done deal. So the real outcome has been a total and ongoing shock since November 8.
A whole lot wild ideas since then about how by some miracle Trump would not be sworn in. On inaguration day their last hope is gone.
Next- There is some evidence that those of a liberal mindset believe they have the higher moral ground. This seems to give a license to their "bad' behavior because they feel their way of looking at things is more proper than that of the "deplorables".
Last- Their agenda had eight years under it's belt and they had visions of more victories such as men in women's locker rooms because they felt female, more sanctuary cities, more gun control and such.

not to go off track, but my wife sent me a link at work for a bird play perch, again to work on my work email, in no way tied to this pc. right now on the right of my screen is this exact bird play perch from exact vendor for exact price advertisement. This targeted advertising is getting dang good to track me at home. back to regularly scheduled discussion.

Gun control actually encourages crime, this has been proven over and over but some people still think it's a good idea(notice areas with more weapons restrictions tend to have more organized crime)
I would not say so. Japan has basically no guns and very little crime. Some countries have many guns but little gun crime.

It's very difficult but I think the USA simply has a violent culture

America kinda rewrote their constitution and said screw everything that you guys stand for after WWII. We only bombed the daylights out of them, occupied their country, and then in article Nine written explicitly in their constitution the maintenance of land, sea, and air forces is strictly forbidden. Kinda wonder why they fallow our word like the word of the all mighty now?
In America 44% of households own guns. If gun owners were a problem you'd know it. But hey, at least we aren't Mexico.

That sounds very much like propoganda.

The US has almost 3 times the homicide rate of similarly developed countries and even more homicides per capita than South Afrixa which is pretty scary given the crime here TBH

Japan, after WW2 changed into a very non violent culture and it shows in many areas apart from gun control. They are very opposed to violence compared to other countries. And i have heard much of some areas of the US have a violent culture

LOL!!! that's because everyone in Japan is afraid of the Yakuza LMAO They're untouchable so no one bothers

Apparently the government knows they are there but most of the time the organised crime they commit is pretty low level and not worth a massive operation to sort out. The Yakuza seem to be a slightly more respectable group than the often violent organised crime groups we are used to

It's right in their constitution. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_9_of_the_Japanese_Constitution

While they don't have guns, they pull stuff like this-https://www.japantoday.com/smartphone/view/crime/man-arrested-for-beating-father-to-death-with-metal-bat

Ever heard of furgeson Missouri? I was there a week before all the protests broke out. There wasn't a single local who looked menacing or threatening, heck I'm pretty sure they all said hi and gave me crap about my cubs hat but they were nice people but a week later the president had them convinced that the white man was the enemy of something. It's straight out off a Indians vs. ranchers western movie. What the past president has done is drive our sense of unity as a nation to shambles. The right and left wings of an eagle are still connected to the same bird but some people would rather see the eagle fall and die rather than the country succeed as a whole.

I stand corrected for a lot of this. But for the protests some where peaceful but there was violence quite quickly.

Also I don't quite know how cubs fit into jt all. Thanks for increasing my understanding of this topic though.

Unfortunately the bat incident would probably been have done with a firearm had it been available. Possibly. I'll never know
