Bought my first commercial mower on Friday, that's one step closer to the lawn business ill be starting. It'll only be part time after my FT job, but it should be enjoyable, and the extra funds will be nice. Going to hopefully pick up an enclosed trailer today. Need to hurry on the trailer, my wife wants her parking spot back in the garage. Lol

Hello; You likely already know about thieves, but trailers walk away from around here if not very secure.

yes I do. Its an unfortunate part of the business. It'll be as secure as I can make it. Probably backed up to a huge oak in my back yard, chained to the oak, locked up tight, hitch locks, and it'll be behind my locked fence. Along with my cameras and motion flood lights. It'll be about as secure as I can get. Not impossible to steal, but enough to slow whomever down. Everything will be insured, just in case.

I did see a neat idea online, a cheapo remote motion sensor inside the trailer. Sets off one of those loud piercing noises.

Motorised gates help keep our trailer in the yard

Hello; I do not know exactly how they work but have seen reports of tracking devices. Maybe like a cell phone which apparently can be tracked?

Opens horizontally with a motor. Most people here have them
so its just a normal gate with a motor? unless youve got a steel fencing all around, a gate wont stop much of anyone, but may slow them down

Yeah ive read of people using an old cellphone with a find me app, but you need a service agreement, and hope they dont go somewhere with spotty coverage. They sell legit GPS trackers with a monthly fee that would probably work much better, but im not sure i'd go to that extent. Not with the amount of equipment i'll have.

It's a solid gate that moves to the side using a motor, the rest is a 6.5ft wall with spikes. It's just to keep other vehicles and stuff out of the driveway and inhibit access to those with other intentions
