Man this wind we have been having is nuts!....earlier today a toilet seat was sent flying into someone's windshield.

Im probably 2 or 3 hrs south of you right ?.... it was brutal today. Sounded like my roof was being torn off

The house fish are great. My pond is under 2-3’ of snow, so I’m not sure how they are right now. It’s been too cold to start digging it out and it just keeps snowing....
Hello; I may be all wrong about this but seem to recall from somewhere that a snow cover is sort of like a blanket of insulation relative to how cold it can get on a clear very cold day. I forget from my limnology days but seem to think if a pond has enough depth it should not freeze solid. Good luck.

You are right. I believe it is due to being sheltered from the wind. That helps a lot. And I’m not worried about the pond freezing solid, but rather them suffocating. I have no idea if there is an air hole anymore or not. My bubbler is still running, but I haven’t been able to check the lines to make sure they aren’t frozen.

This 10 posts per page is really starting to suck big time.

hello; The water will be cold so metabolism will be slower so less need for Oxy. I have no idea about frozen air lines but good luck.

Thanks.
I do have my air lines covered with insulation, but they too are under 2-3’ of snow. As long as condensation hasn’t built up they should be fine.
I just get sick to my stomach thinking about it.
