LOL I have done that a few times as well. I like to tell them I am on a Commadore 64 and can't find what Windows system it uses. I have actually had THEM hang up on ME when I do that one

I'm so glad I don't have to sell things, I don't think I could do it, its hard enough finding people who want to do a 5 minute survey lol

Also, little hint to mfkers: when you get a call from a research company, answer it and decline if you're not interested. If you hang up without saying anything you will likely get called back again and again. The company I work for requires us to press a "call them later" button if someone answers but doesn't speak, and I would assume other companies have similar procedures. Just thought I'd put that out there. :)

That’s good to know. I’ll have to remember that.

I get that car extended warranty call and “you’ve won a hotel stay for staying at one of our resorts”. And another one saying that they are calling about enrolling in healthcare. But I haven’t gotten that call again since telling the guy I’ve had the same health plan for years now.

I tend to not answer calls that I’m not expecting, but with family all over the country I now answer most calls. Not all, but more then I used to.

Heard on the news.....The USA,with 4% of the world population, uses 20 percent of the toilet paper.....either we are really full of it or some big population groups are using alternate methods!

I thought I'd share the word with my fellow fish nerds here on mfk. If I can make one persons day a little easier, then I've accomplished something. :)

I'm one of the only people I know that will answer private numbers on my mobile. I only do it because it could be one of my younger siblings ringing for help from a phone box or something similar. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I ignored a private number and one of my siblings got hurt because of it.

The only people I've lived with that used too much toilet paper were overweight.. Maybe theres too many obese people? Or maybe like you said, y'all are just full of it... :P

I get tired of talking to them so I just let it ring. When I'm expecting a call from an odd number I'll answer the phone...an of course the first one is a telemarketer.

I know some counties that don't use toilet paper at all.

It's one of the blessings of living in a foreign country with a difficult language. Me: "I don't understand a da*n word you're saying! Click. They never call back.

If I get that response I press the "not interested" button, its only when people answer the phone and don't say anything that I have to press the "call them later" button. :)
