Hello; Here is a different sort of story. I decided to try for a new car. not a practical car. A 2025 Mustang GT. A base model. I have tried before but could not get a decent deal. Got a fair quote. Went to my insurance today to see what the insurance will be. The quotes in the last six months to a couple of years has been around $500 per six months. Today's quote was for $750/ per six months. Makes me hesitate about buying the car.

Sorry S skjl47 , that was not aimed directly at you. Just venting a bit of my underlying disappointment with the current state of media culture. I also recognize the hypocrisy of venting on an online forum about people ranting on social media platforms....

Hello; First let me acknowledge you post is clever. Got your point across well. There were two sisters in Harlan County KY. I married one and another fellow married the other. The fellow who married the other sister had a son from the union. Both marriages have failed which is not the point of this story. The son has grown up to be a fine man. The fellow who married the other sister wound up retired and is living in the same TN county as I do.

The son got a pitbull puppy along the way. At one point he had to leave the dog behind, so his dad has been keeping it. Any time the dad gets a visitor at his home the dog has to be secured in a room but can be heard growling and barking constantly. I get why the dad puts up with this it is his son's dog. The dad may also like the dog but i do not glean such when talking to him. I do not visit his home. We speak on the phone or when we see each other at Kogers.

The fellow told me he is concerned about what the dog might do to a visitor. Last we spoke his plan was to build a secure fence around the property. I think he is realistic and up to speed. I do not rant at him nor tell him dog stories. There is no need, he is living one.

I posted a link to the Canuck-ostrich story on YouTube but it seems to have been censored, or something happend.

Anyhow just go search for bird flu 300 Ostriches.

Hello; Seems a woman got stampeded by cows.
Cattle are finally being recognized for the ruthless killers they are. They should be banned; they're far too dangerous to be kept by casual private individuals, especially outdoors where the odds of an escape followed by a killing spree are magnified exponentially.

Ostriches aren't much better. And of course it's only a matter of time before some enterprising backyard "breeder" crosses the two species and creates an ultra-lethal hybrid which can threaten the human race. Oh, sure, they'll swear up and down that they are just working on this "project" for gits'n'shiggles, and that they will never allow their toxic creations to leave the basement cowroom, but we all know how that goes. :nilly::nilly:

Sure, laugh now...but we'll see how funny it is when someone is slaughtered by an 8-foot-tall 4-legged long-horned Featherhorn...
