Hello; The crux of this story is a Grinch exists in Long Island NYC. Seems 50K worth of Christmas gifts meant for needy children were either stolen or damaged as thieves rummaged thru them last night. Of course, these gifts will not be returned by the grinch as in the story.

I do have to wonder why there was not a guard on the stuff. I also have to wonder if the thieves will be back on the street even if they are caught?

I brouse on FB Marketplace often. I have wondered if some of the things advertised are from the shoplifting rings we read about so often. You know the rings of thieves who apparently travel around in organized teams and descend on retail stores.

Hello; I get the person was caught and maybe the SNAP fraud stopped. The sentence seems light in relation to the amount of fraud involved. I also get there is a guilty plea which makes life simpler for the courts.
Not clear how much this individual got from the scheme. Not clear if she tattled on the others named to get a lighter sentence. Gotta figure she will not be paying back the 32 million dollars

Make sure you attach electrodes to monitor how long brain activity continues. Results should be interesting.

This lobster thing should be easy for Canucks to get past. We'll just appoint a Royal Commission to perform a 5-year inquiry on the project. We'll put a moratorium on all forms of lobster cooking for the duration of the study just to be safe. Shouldn't need to allocate more than a few billion dollars for the project.

There will, of course, be separate sets of rules and regulations for Indigenous lobsters, as well as for lobsters from Quebec.

Sources claim that there is already a move to introduce a three-year college certification in "lobster pithing" as a humane alternative to live boiling. It is rumoured that Home Depot has been selected as the officially sanctioned provider of the specialized 20-volt cordless drills required to penetrate the lobster shells.
