Thanks Mike.
Hope to hit 15" at the end of this one year challenge. That's 1" per month from now to then.
Where's all the playas? Come on let's see them. This will serve all future keepers.
To re-iterate my setup: 260g, 3000gph pump, 16" glass filter backwashed every 4-5 days with 30% WC. Feeding pellets only since purchase. No sump, no sock, no gravel vac.
Again, going for color and body conformation.
Ken your the man w/ that simple yet super effective set up. YOur bass are a prime example of how great that glass filter works. Those xingu are growin like weeds!
I tryed to get some progression shot's to kind of show the colors that are coming out right now. IT'S INSANE let me tell you. The only other sp compairable imo is Pinima. So here are my crappy shot's but in the first 4 -5 I was trying to get the colors but there muttled and you can faintly make out color chages in the progression pic's. The last pic is of my Orino for comparison of color also. He is super light in the photo but he is SUPER BLUE when you see him in person. (I am still working on camera skills)
Update: 5 Xingu Peacock Bass. Grown out in a G40g breeder w HOB+ 1PH /G100g w HOB+ 2PH/ and now in a A150g w 60g sump UV with Little Giant RPM:3000. Let me say this now I truely believe that Canister vs Sump is a debatible issue but this in pure fun and in the interest of learning and taking something from all of our experience's and utilizing it for our future Monster's.
