They get far too bigGet a african odoe pike, they dont bother a poly even if its small
This is true, but I gave mine to someone with a larger tank since he was VERY flighty and knocked himself on the tank.

I keep a snakeskin gourami with my polys. It's about 5" now, doesn't bother the polys too much. 
Thank you for the suggestions. I think i'm going to stick with ctenopoma. Question is do I want 1 or 2. and if I do 1, do i want to add some gourami in
I have a ctenapoma he is active but kind of a lurker. He will come front and center when he sees me and beg a bit but then slinks to the corners and in the branches. Cool fish, deffinatly get 1..
I've heard mixed reviews about more then 1. Not sure if the ctenopoma would view the gouramis as friend or foe or indifferent, being from the same family.
Good to know. May try some smaller gourami then to test the waters like a couple thicklip
