Officially a Bichir keeper now

Good to know. I really like the palmas palmas and palmas polli. I'll see if i can track any down. I like the more outgoing ones.

If I were to keep a single blood parrot and a few sajicas (let's assume the parrot gets to about 7 inches and the sajicas 4-5) about how many UJ species could i safely keep in a 75 and still be manageable with weekly water changes?

Lol I'll have to forego the secret hand shake for now.

Any opinions on how many bichirs will be comfortable in a 75 with a few cichlids and stay manageable with the weekly water changes? Sticking with uj. 1 parrot and a few tbars for the cichlids

As you can see, they are loving some omega one shrimp pellets. They are also eating the thera a nls pellets. Are these sufficient foods for them? Also still interested to know opinions on how many i can safely and comfortably fit in a 75 with a few cichlids.

It really depends on you, im not good with cichlids but for a 75g you can put 6-8 UJ but keep testing the water for ammonia since cichlid i heard produce alot of ammonia. So if you think you can put more its up to you, i have 18 UJ and 2 odoe pike in a 65g but i test the water all the time and i make sure to do water change every
2-3 days.

Thank you. I definitely don't want to do water changes every 2 to 3 days. I stick to weekly. So with your 8 ujs maybe I can do 1 more comfortably assuming I'm going to do a 2 or 3 smaller cichlids and 1 medium long term. For the short term there will just be cichlid growouts. Now to decide if I want an albino sen or wait out for a Polli.

Any opinions on if the food in feeding is sufficient?

Oh misread earlier. You have 18 UJ + 2 other fish in a smaller tank. So assuming i'm going to double the amount of time in between water changes in a tank with a slightly larger volume. maybe 1 or 2 more UJ wouldn't be pushing it with 3-4 cichlids that should stay under 7 inches or so (with at least 2 of those cichlids staying around 4).
