sevs and sajicas for me sevs and sajicas for me similar issue my cb del has - it smells food, it inhales the said food. What the good people above have mentioned, sometimes you just gotta hold the food back although it's tempting to spoil em.
Thanks. It's hard not to feed these guys. I usually only feed my other cichlid tanks 3-4 times a week but with this tank it's hard not to feed. But i will cut back definitely.

Also agree to stick with 4-5 UJs, no Teug/Weeksii/Ornate.
Another vote here for Polli if you like active polys (who on the whole aren't very active.)

Another option to consider for activity would be a group of 3 ropes. As long as they wouldn't be considered noodle snacks by the cichlids depending on which you go with, of course.

So you suggested this a while back and it had me thinking. Ropefish. In your estimate if i did 4 UJ polys (2 sens, 1 del, 1 gold dust/polli) and 3 ropes would this too much in a 75 with weekly water changes (as opposed to doing a group of cichlids)? Looking around the net it appears difficult to find ropes

That should be cool, ropes are more available than polys where I live. You should be able to find them! Just make sure that they're a decent size since they are skinny.

Good luck ;)

I like that idea better. It's just easier to keep cichlids out of the equation IMO. I thought I was okay with my Polleni but they started to get frisky with one another, the female got nippy to the polys and now she's out. Now it's just my male Polleni, bichir and knives together, they all get on nicely. Cichlids are b-holes.

That's kind of what i'm thinking. If i do any cichlids at all with the ropes and pollys it would be a single sajica (max at 5 inches). My only concern though is with 3 ropes and 4 UJ's would that be doable with weekly water changes.
