I got the D60. I've literally taken less than 100 photos so far. I like the manual setting, I'm just a bit too slow as of yet.

Looking at how photobucket/MFK resizes the photos I need to do some cropping on the next batch. These are straight off the camera.

i am going to start with the nikon d-40 .. if this works out and i enjoy it then i will trade it in for something even more.. do you think the d-40 is enough camera to learn DSL.. i bought the canon A5-IS powershot.. pretty good pics.. but i want better..

D40's are great for first time DSLR users. They are affordable, user friendly, and produce quality photos. I've had mine or less than 2 months and absolutely love it.
