OH NO! NOT AGAIN!! ahah WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's crazy. That same size fish all the way over here in the U.S. would cost about $15.00 and your telling us that you paid $50.00 and the fish is practically in your back yard- well alot closer than the U.S. anyway? What's up with that?

Not really. He bought a wild caught silver aro. The one that are for sale here in the us for cheap are the farm bred ones that are susceptible to drop eye.

that is a really good price for a single aro especially wild caught. Around here I have seen them at 3" sell from 13.99 all the way up to 69.99.

Jay, what part of the country do you live in? I sure as hell dont have $15 aros here at six inches in length!

Nice aro by the way. Im sorry that everyone here thinks that because you are from Brazil you have a dug out canoe and a hand made net to catch your dinner/aquarium fish with!

I don't mind anymore! So many people think that here we are all indians!
And they also think that prices and facilities are the same from their countries!!

Skinless, I have some outsde ponds where I put the big ones! But I can't take pics from the fishes because they are almost free!!

And let me try to explain why fish is so expensive here: brazilian laws are very severe and so we have a lot of taxes to pay when we buy a controled animal!!!

drdpc - really cute little wild silver you just got :)

Its a fair price too for a wild silver, in fact in England a 6 inch silver would go for around £30 which is maybe 55 dollars? And that would be a captive bred one, not wild.

drd - I assume your other silvers are wild caught - do any of them have drop eye? :)

none of them had drop eye!!

I'd love to get my hands on a/some wild caught aros. Nice pickup. I'd definately pay what you paid for one. It's a good price.

and also people, don't be rude and laugh at him and think it's strange he just got 1 little fish shipped to him etc.

Brazil is obviously not a big fishkeeping country, even though many fish come from there, most of them are captive bred in Asia or Florida etc

NOt everywhere is like America, with fish stores and tanks in abundance and generally good prices.

That's a good pickup, here in Spain I can't even get a captive bred silver in the whole country, no lie. They don't keep fish here.

Also even you Americans - would you not pay 50 dollars for a wild caught silver with minimal risk of dropeye?

ultimatejay - you're saying you can get a 6 inch silver for 15 dollars?
