I use power pro red on all my spinning gear and big game gear. My bass poles are set with 20lb power pro red. I don't be leave there is a need to go any higher as long as you know how to use it on the bass. I have caught quite a few 35lbers on 20lb test line. For my conventional that i use for wreck fishing I use 20lb fire line crystal. I don't care much for the feel of fire line but the strength of the fire line crystal is so much better then power pro. Not good for spinner reel's though. During the fishing season i get out almost every day on the serf or on the boats.

Another "Oh No Power Pro" Trophy Catch! Not sure if catching this beast would have been the same without Power Pro. Casted way back in the weeds where there had just been a huge boil, waited let the worm sink to the bottom. Couldn't really see the spot I casted too well when the line straighten out, BANG! I set the hook, looking to cross the eyes of what I was expecting to be a good size fish, when this beast along with my hook and worm rig came flying out of the water headed straight for me, duck and cover a buddy yelled.
Same fish, same dude, if I'm right he caught it twice in 2 years from rainbow in France, if only I could read that back

suffix is only better in certain situations like when light line is needed such as 5-10 pound test. 15+ pound test is better in power pro.cichlid fiend;3467129; said:

Wouldnt know cause im only freshwater, I dont go over 40. When I tried Power pro at 20 it was some junk compared to suffix.
