Oh No! Water Rationing Again!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm right on Lake Superior, so water has never been an issue... well, for personal use anyways. The lake is getting lower and lower every year, hopefully we get some good rain this summer!

With all of the snow we got in the pacific NW, my main fear is the inevitable flooding. It has been so cold so far this spring, no snow has melted really. If summer shows up all at once...We are in for the worst flooding season in history...:(

true that, i live in the pass, and bc this spring has broght more snow,i worried about when it finally does warm up.

I lived in Tahoe for 6 years and I remember when it would snow heavy in april then the next day the sun would come out and roads would wash out from run off. Espescially at night, you'd hit a huge puddle and it would freeze solid on your windshield. Dangerous stuff when that happens.

More like a sand/gravel/leaf separator to a 5-stage filtration system. The purified water is then stored in 2 large and one small storage tanks. The small 400 gal tank is to ready the change water for my brackish setups.

If anyone could jerry-rig nature, it would be Phil

That sucks. Buy a house with a well. It'd kill me paying for water. I use roughly 500 gallons a week for h20 changes. No damage here in MA. My water table is only 10' below THANK YOU PEARL OF WISDOM! If you need to water ration maybe a 55 gal drum hooked to your gutter and filtered?
