A black would last 2-3 years. Basicly the black arowana would last in that 180 until it's 24" long. Once it gets bigger than 24" you need to upgrade. FYI I have a 6" black arowana for only $140.

Where are you located?

rays would look nice but get a male motoro they don't grow that big ;)

That was exactly my plan. I was supposed to get one from a member from the classifieds section but since I couldn't send him pic mail from my phone, he didn't believe that I had a 180. We both worked out a decent deal cuz his ray was beat up a little. So I was just like whatever

My friend had a 6" black that I wanted but at the time didn't have the tank yet. He wanted $75 for him. About a week before I got the 180 he jumped to his death!

Too far away. Im from aroud Pa Md line. Male motoro's should live in a 180 for a very very long time if not life.

Just for you, pick up for only $100.

Well alot will depend on how the black aro eats to how long the 180g will last it. If it is like my older black, you'd have 3-4 years. Whereas my younger black does not look as if it would last even two years in a 180g.

If you were to get a 6-7" black now I think you'd have 2-3 years before having to upgrade the tank size.
