OK, thanks bderick. Do you think that a 6x3 is appropriate for life? That is something that I see in the next 2-3 yrs realistically.

I believe the best tank is like 8' x 2.5'. The width is good, but I think the length might be a little short?

No, I think that arowana should be in a tank that is at least 3x their length minimum. 8 footer would be much more appropriate, and good for a 32"er. Figure with proper care the arowana should get at least that long.

^ agreed. a 6'er is too short for life, the 3' width is good but by the time the fish is big enough to need it then 6' won't give it enough room to swim.
