Found a 110gal with stand for 125... oh I'm sooo down for this tank. Just have to drive 2 hours to get it, but its gonna be worth the major upgrade seeing as I can only find 55 gal in my area.

So now my true question. What will I need to complete this tank?
He says it doesnt come with filter or rocks. Not to worried about
the rocks at this moment. Just concerned about the filter.
(post will probably be moved to filter section...because of this)

I know my oscar is going in it. Cichlids are staying the the 29gal
but what else should I put in this tank????

Def a tall 110.

Gotcha (:

Also trying to figure out a stock list. hmmm... I go and get it bright
and early tomorrow morning, so I will have pictures of it.

It wont be set up for a few months because I want to get everything
thats right for it. you know?? I don't want to screw anything up.

thanks Ghost, I've never dealt with a tank of this size before. The biggest would be my 55 gal I had awhile back before it busted all over my floor. lol

So expect me to ask LOTSSSS of questions from everyone here (:

you busted your 55?

Sorry, can't help you with your stock as i have no clue what you like.

i'd also get a canister and a couple of HOB but it'd depend on your stock. a canister may be all you need

I had the 55 gal set up for a week and my friends were playing around and knocked something into it and it started cracking.. so before I could completely empty it, it started shooting water all over my floor and cracked. lol That was a fun little mess to clean up..

There is a Clown Knife Fish at my LFS and they want 100 for it, I know I can talk them down because I'm there almost every day... It takes up over half the 55gal its in and I didn't know if that would work in a 110 or I would have to go bigger with it...

so I think I'm gonna make that off the list.

I kinda want to do it as a community tank, but I don't know what to put it. thats the problem. I don't want fish that are gonna get big fast to where I would have to upgrade say in a few months.. I'm limited space where I live since its my mothers house.. I may be taking care of her and paying her bills.. but its her rules. lol

Fish selection is SO personal. There are many options for community, but none as nice, in my humble opinion, as a tall tank with a school of anglefish, a school of cory cats and a school of lemon tetras, drift wood, sand and plants.

Having said all of that, I keep fancy miniature carp, so that's what i'd put in it

I would find a good sized canister filter and run a wet dry. You can make a wet dry out of an old tank or plastic tubs if you are on a tight budget. I see used wet drys and canister filters on craigslist quite often in my area.
