I'm not picky when it comes to fish what so ever. I've had Oscars, Clown Knife Fish, Cichlids, Angel Fish, Dragon Fish.. you typical fish that kids buy when they are little... um.. what else have I owned. lol

Mom brought up the idea of a community cichlid tank but I don't want to end up with a mated pair, you know?? Kinda always wanted a FH

So idk, I'm just trying to find suggestions on what to do. Thats why I asked. lol
Everyone is gonna have their own taste in fish, soo .lol

Lets see.. I'd do lots of neons, cherry barbs, blue rams, danios, corys, guppies, and just about any other small beautiful community fish. :)

Keep in mind that this 110 is just a tall 75g. THe gallonage of a tank is actually of very little importance in keeping a healthy fish. That being said, a 110 is and probably always will be one of my favorite tanks. They make great show tanks. Ever thought of african cichlids? with your 48x18 footprint you're actually going to be fairly limited to numerous large fish. You could do a large center piece with some dithers and stock the bottom nicely with a few cats or polys, or clown loaches are a great fish to own.

I know you know, I'm was just messin' around...

You should go with a wet dry if possible. Option 2, a couple of good cannister filters.
