Personally I love 110s. The high one right?

In any event, i'd filter it with a large canister and a couple large hobs, e.g an FX5 and 2 Ac 110s.

Congrats.

$500+ in overkill filtration for a 110g tank that is basically a 75g? Good advice there....

Congrats on your pick up :)

yeah I thought I over did it. Rena xp4 (rated for up to 265 gallon tanks) and a rena xp3 (rated for up to 175 gallon tanks) on my 125gal thats 315 gallons over...

FX5 is rated for up to 400 gallon tanks and each AC110 is rated for up to 110 gallons.
510 gallons over filtered..... the current alone would beat up the fish in that 110, lol.

Very nice looking tank. i like the color scheme but i can't blame you for painting it.

Personally since i keep piranhas, i have no problem with overfiltered tanks as long as the current isn't too strong for the fish. if we're talking messy disgusting oscars, she should be aiming to overfilter anyways.

if i had that tank, i'd want a planted angelfish or discuss community

I will have an oscar. My friend Paula is wanting me to take her full grown Clown Knife Fish, she works at the LFS that I was talking about earlier.. Its the same fish..
He is currently in like.. a 75? Its sad, poor thing has NO room to move, but I don't want him to be the only thing in my tank.
They also have a pair of mated red devil(not true ones) and I'm not entirely sure I want a mated pair... so idk.

For starting off I might do a big community tank of smaller fish, Kinda like the angel fish idea. Also been fascinated with those and throw my oscar in there with em.. lol

Where exactly would I find the AC110s? I asked around here and everyone looked at me like I was stupid.. One person was like.. Ac 130? Like Mw2?
I was like OMMMGGG!! NO!!. lol

Notice the words "I'd filter it..." Also, even if you bought an Fx5 and 2 Ac110's new from the right place, you still wouldn't have $500+ in overkill filtration.

First of all, you do realize that the 75g has the exact same footprint as your 110 so you taking on a clown knife is no better than it being in her 75g. Secondly, oscars and angelfish typically don't work, but I've seen far more obscure. Last, look on ebay or search online for the ac110's.

I do realize that, thats why I have no taken it. If I get it I wouldn't even think of putting it in nothing but a 300gal with some RTC & Aros.

Hint the lol on the end??

now. no being mean, I asked for everyone's opinion.

i wouldn't look local. i'd order it online. 45-50 bucks. just looked on ebay and there's several for under 50 bucks.

when you're asking people, are you saying AC 110 or AquaClear 110? We have a horrible habit of abbreviating everything on here. if you frequent the aquatic center you've probably seen them and didn't notice. There's a thread on here about how to mod them to make them even more efficient too.

Angelfish FTW!!!
