Why not add all the known wild bichir species, region variants, color morphs, body mutations, wild hybrids and captive hybrids? Which bichir species that have been successfully breed in captivity and which are being mass breed? Which bichir species that have not yet been breed in captivity?

Yeah this sounds good I like the idea of having all the different species.

more information and possibly even pictures of the natural habitat would be awesome if you can find them. I want to try to accuratly recreate an african aquascape for my next tank (possibly benue river) but mongabay has no relevent pictures and all google images can provide me with is aerial shots. I know it may not be possible for you to provide, but it'd be appreciated greatly.
