alright thanks for the info, my dad made it rain on my parade he wont let me get another big tank because he said theres enough weight alredy with just my 150g he said nothing bigger than 55. however Ive been looking and found a couple nice setups with foot prints i like around the size of 55 gallons, I found a 56 gal column tank, a 46gallon bowfront, a 55 gallon breeder and a 45 gallon, I like the column and the bowfront alot and they come with the hoods, lights, heaters, filters and all that good stuff, Im just debating which one i would rather have and which one would be easier and better to set up

Im deciding to just use my 55g and just start with some marine fish. Im going to be buying the protien skimmer, uv, and sand in segments, but i should possably have everything by the end of next month, reason being im putting alot of money in to my truck and car right now, which is more important to me right, especially since i hardly ever see my fish minus when im doing water changes. :/

I think a 55 will make a great first saltwater tank for you. Just one question, why put so much money into something if your never going to see it?
