Ok so who else....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Saw the BGN you wanted a few seconds ago fighting over some space with the spiny eel. It won. That makes a total of maybe ~2 minutes viewing time since you bought it.

i've had a similar comments when i still had my palembang puffers... people used to ask why i only have rocks and wood in my tank till they realized that i actually kept puffers in there which didn't move much at all...

All mine do is hide! Licorice gouramis are not for people who like a constant movement. I can see why a lot of them are rare, you never see them. The species I got is one of the most stunning I've seen, Parasphromenus bintan. Their bodies are an electric blue with red mosaic patterns on the fins. I see the dominant male maybe once every two weeks. They hide during feeding, too, except for the little one. That's why I added a pair of Fundulopanchax gardneri to the tank, so something actually moves in there. Of course, this makes the little gouramis hide even more.... One of the little guys in getting moved to the 3 gallon soon.

I got lucky with my BGK, he is always out looking for food. Eats everything I put in there and never hides at all. My Jaguar cat on the other hand I have not seen since I put him in the tank until today and that was months ago. .

I get rid of the ones that hide. Its a waste of tank space for me. I recently took in a Jack Dempsey to a LFS because it hid all the time. Sad because it was a beauty.

Same here. I always like the type of fish that hide then regret buying them.. :irked: not these days.

I have a beautiful sun catfish that's about 5-6" and he lives in my hollowed out stump/decor. I do see him sometimes when i turn out the lights before i go to bed, so i just drop veggie rounds and sinking shrimp pellets in. - Im just glad he's comfortable.

- All-in-all, $8 bucks well spent i suppose...

I got a baby bristle nose pleco that was always hiding, but it seem to be coming out more now that it's bigger.
