ok so earlier today i tried an experiment. i went to my lfs and bought 50 small meal worms so i can cook and grind them up into pieces for my angel fish. while i was cooking the meal worms on a pan (i bought just for the experiment) it smelled good! it smells like potato chip and roasted almonds lol. oh and by the way i cooked them with no oil. ive tasted meal worms before at a candy shop and they taste like crispy potato chips. i never knew something so gross would smell kinda good...

Ive tried it before at a candy shop close to where i live. they put them in loli pops, chocolate, and they just sell them separate. to be honest they do taste okay but just thinking about what it is grosses you out.

hmm this makes me want to try crickets...my girl friend ate deep fried cricket before she said it tasted like sun flower seeds but with legs

There is a store by me that sells them with BBQ powder or cheese powder on them (pre-packaged of course). The are quite good! The texture is a little like chips, but they don't soften up with saliva. I have eaten cooked mealworms and crickets in stuff, it's not bad and it's better for you than any commercially-available meat.

I've eaten live mealworms before. They're not that bad. I can imagine that they're delicious cooked!

I wanted to write just the same. It makes me salivate, surprisingly. I would try it
