Nah I wish:D It is one that was close to 4feet If I remember the post correctly. I have also seen one that was well over 4 feet but that was a while ago and I couldn't find that. I was trying to show that even though most list their potential size as 3 feet they can grow larger.

Also I thought you'd like this pic Dovi:) here this is SHvar's monitor form kingsnake.com

All this monitor talk lately has really peaked my intrest in the argentina B&W tegu we have at the store I work at. Not the same thing as a monitor, but just as cool in my book.

If you have the time to devote to both the timor and the savanah, I say go for it.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. Nice thing too is that he is only a baby about 6in long and still has a lot of green. Usually we only get large ones that haven't been handled a whole lot.

Thanks for the link.

Savannah Monitors make exelent pets. I have one my self and he is a great lizard. They only get to a maximum of 3 feet. It does get pricey to feed them, mine is on the proper diet of bugs. He has a bowl big enough for him to swim in and is very tame. They are great pets.

a maximum of 3 feet????? i can't count how many i've seen bigger than that personally

The first picture shown is a Savannah Monitor that has a problem. Its not shaped correctly. Maybe something wrong with its bones.

The second picture is a BLACK THROAT MONITOR. They do get alot bigger then Savannah's. (as seen in that picture)

I have never seen a Savannah over 3 feet long. Mine is only about 30-33 inches long and from what I have wread the record was 39... So not get flamin' on me.
