Im not saying people who keep small fish arent allowed here

so then what are you saying?

and claiming others are wrong, when its only their opinion too.

actually, this is a matter of right or wrong. if the person that created the name and the site says otherwise, why do you continue to insist that he is wrong, like if you were able to read his mind

THis is a debate, peopel post opinions. I dont see why some of you guys are getting mad and have to act like someone has to come in and side with you in order to make you feel like you won this debate. Very childish IMO.
nobody's getting mad or name calling. and i really dont see how its a debate. the meaning of this site is not up for debate, last time i checked. if anybody is getting defensive, it's you

Well when majority keep monster sized fish and monster sized tanks, I think they all thought nearly the same. So IMO this is proof what monster really meant for most people. Still, Li can give his opinion, doesnt mean its 100% right. Its only his opinion, my opinion differs.

I think the creator of monsterfishkeepers can decide what a monsterfishkeeper is.

Li created MFK yet he is STILL wrong!

Some of you guys believe its the passion of the fish keeper, and I disagree partly. I think monster refers to something on a monster scale; Monster fish, monster tanks, etc. Someone who keeps 20 tanks is a monster fish keeper, even if they are all 10 gallons and all guppies. Or someone with a large tank and smaller fish. These are exceptinos to me. You guys know damn well when Li made this site, I dont think it was because he was passionate about monster guppies, and neither did the people who signed up. Im not saying people who keep small fish arent allowed here, I even keep some small fish.

Theres people who are passionate about fish, and are experienced/knowlegable. But guess what? Some of these poeple keep fish poorly too. Overstocking/carelessness etc.

This is jsut my opinion and all my posts have jsut been my opinion. I dont know why some poeple resort to insults and claiming others are wrong, when its only their opinion too.

Another one of these threads..
I don't think they are insulting you. lol Just telling you what the founder of mfk thinks about it. There are a lot of monster fish havers I can agree with that, but mfk really is just the next level of fish keepers in an online community. Is that not what the other forums are? I like this site over the others though, because this site is well rounded, people keep just about everything from dwarf cichlids to pacu. lol It is the passion for fish keeping that brings us together not the big fish..get it?

to have a monster fish is to have a pet that could cause an ecological disaster

Yeah, the people on this site keep diverse kinds of fish. There are prolly people with 1 gallons that just have java moss and cherry shrimp. And there's also the guy who built a 50,000. :D

The OP never asked what MFK stood for. Its pretty childish to drag the site ower into this. If the OP was interested in his opinion he could of sent a PM. The OP created a topic on "what isnt monster". When people posted their opinons they were attacked and insulted. And are being insulted continueosly.

I posted my opinions about it, and thats all I needed to get off my chest. You guys can continue to act like children.
