The guy I got it from claimed it was a convict. He raised the convict and a regular JD in a 90 gallon for 3 years about.

He is nice, but not a con. I would own that fish in a minute :)

I've hooked a few decent ones when I lived on Oahu. They're every where. Made very good Pbass fishing bait.

Those are cons, yes...Nowhere near the size of that other one though....Look at the pattern...The bars Y and connect...Is this due to its massive size? Whatever the case, his post was full of some of the most marvelous specimens I have ever seen....My pessimism is pure jealousy:D I have just been out done....:headbang2
 
Ctrl_Alt_Dlt is my brother. I raise his fish that he doesnt want. Thats a nice convict Modes man!
 
Ah. Not one and the same but I was close.

All three of those in the photos are different male cons I caught in the same day, within about 30 minutes of each other.
 
You know you are a monsterfishkeeper, when you can recognize a man, by his fish...lol
