Just spent a couple hours going through this whole thread!
I just got my cons and they are tiny. A male and female in my 10 gallon for now. They are about an inch big and the male is a bit bigger than the female, i will post pics in a couple of months when their bigger and will keep a lookout on this thread!

Heres my biggest convict. He's about 4 years old in this pic, and 7 inches long.
I have a male and female pair. They have fry all the time! I just moved them into their own 55 gal tank so they can keep all the babies with them until I want to sell them or feed them to my oscar. lol. My male is about 6 inches and my female I think is only about 4, how can I get her to stop breeding and grow more? Is there anyway or would I have to seperate them?

i was at the lfs last week and he had a tank full of young cons about half inch long i wanted to buy a few so i can get a bonded pair and the guy said i could have some for free ,i ended up with a bag of about 20

The convict is one of my all time favorites. I always try to keep some when I can. Much respect to all.
Yeah, as of late my pair has become increasingly skittish, they're in their own 15 gallon and dart for cover and freak out anytime anyone comes close to the tank... thoughts?
