If you can't cover your tank with something solid, then you should think about getting a net of some sort and drap it over the sides and have it anchored or something. It still allows you to view the tank from above, but it'll keep your aro in the tank at the same time in the event that it does jump.

the pacu a fed a variety of pellets, flakes and cat food mixed in small proportions. They get lots of veggies from the kitchen. no live feeders from external sources. guppies are thrown in on occasion from the ponds.

mhm, so these guppies are a food source for the pacus only??

How is that tank only 500 gallons?

im wondering the same exact thing. either hes a really short person, or just missed a 0 on the 500 part, TANK IS HUGE!!!!!
