i've had my 16" silver for a year....i got him when he still had a yoke sack connected to him!!!

The longest I've owned and raised myself are:
Scleropagus jardini 8 years
Scleropages Formosus 7 years
Osteoglossum bicirrhosum 6 years
I did obtain a pair of Scleropages Formosus that died soon after I got them that a friend gave me that he bought in Hong Kong and owned himself for 20 years.

None taken. This is actually out of Arowana world page 22. I find it hard to believe, and it is translated, but right after the 100 year statement it says "That means, more than a 3 generation period of time." This book is one of the most comprehesive arowana books I have ever found. It even goes as far as having pictures of the Red Aro farms in it, with 127 pages of pure arowana goodness.
