My same thoughts when I heard it.

The longest I've owned and raised myself are:

Scleropagus jardini 8 years
Scleropages Formosus 7 years
Osteoglossum bicirrhosum 6 years

I did obtain a pair of Scleropages Formosus that died soon after I got them that a friend gave me that he bought in Hong Kong and owned himself for 20 years.

Wow extreme dedication arapaimag, great stuff

How big is the jardini?

its more like 50

That was actually supposed to be for Red arowana(sorry tired not thinking straight), this is from Arowana world. As far as I know for silvers its actually only 20 years or so.

im having a hard time believing that

no offense man

None taken. This is actually out of Arowana world page 22. I find it hard to believe, and it is translated, but right after the 100 year statement it says "That means, more than a 3 generation period of time." This book is one of the most comprehesive arowana books I have ever found. It even goes as far as having pictures of the Red Aro farms in it, with 127 pages of pure arowana goodness.:headbang2
