Finally a pic worth showing of my Pacific tree boa (Candoia carinata carinata) in his terrarium:

Hes eating and growing. A bit vicious though. But stunningly beautiful.

Here should be posted a picture of a juvenile anacopnda..
because I ALMOST BOUGHT AN JUVENILE ANACONDA YESTERDAY!
Was real hard not to.
Picked up a second hand 4'-2'-2' vivarium in a nearby town instead.

This tuesday Im gonna be at my LRS as soon it opens at ten (mondays closed), to get me an anaconda. I just choose one and then see if its a female
or a male. Let faith decide.
Monday is my birthday. Tuesday is anaconda day, and wednesday Im gonna go
to a local ZOO.
Im happy and a critter, so Im a happy critter!

Heres my new second hand viva, its not 2', but 1 2/3', euh.. 50 cm.
But its 3' wide, and 8 mm glass.

And here left of the other one is where it has got to go:

My Pacific boa, which I just cant get enough of:

Muscle building tortoises:

I tried to erase the pic, anyway it gives an impression of how much I care for clean glass (well its one of my oldest tanks):

I managed to get the terrarium up there with the other one. Phoei.
So top left is the Suriname red tail, right is the Brazilian rainbow boa,
left the Haitian red sided iguanas, and right the soon to be tortoise pool:

And the iguanas are eye candy:

Not really has anything to do with the title of this thread, but tomorrow
Im gonna get me a juvenile African savannah monitor!! (Varanus exanthematicus)!
Slight step up towards an anaconda and dwarf kaimans (Paleosuchus palpebrosus).

And I know, this thread is worthless without a)pics, but I couldnt help pre-posting.

Seems like there are a lot of people getting savannah's right now. I'd jump on the bandwagon but I'm holding out for some Ackie's...

So do you make these tanks? If nto were do you get them? Are they acrylic or glass? Amazing set ups and i want to know more. Are you building a rep room? What sizes are tha cages? Sorry if i skipped over something. Its late and i need to go to bed and i am too tired to read.

Im purely following my own criteria when acquiring new species, but yes, I also noticed
the savannah monitor is quite popular.
I tend to give the right TLC though. No disregards towards other savannah monitor keepers,
but what I find is a lot of misunderstandings in the care for them.
I just like its head. Unequivocal.

@Etunes:
I red somewehere the term: ghetto. And thats sort of my way too.
I have newly bought vivaria, but also some of about 45 year old ones,
which I repaired and are in usable condition.
I tend to look through the eyes of the animal, rather than the viewer.
Happily I had some visitors last days, and they told me my animals are
eye candy. Thats what I read from you all here also, and it makes me feel
:woot::lol2::woot::lol2::mwave::lol2::woot::lol2::woot:

:D

Im still expanding and I hope to find a big penthouse with infinite floor load.
(Because now I live on the fourth floor, kinda ghetto penthouse and I like it).
In Nederland glass is more cheap then acrylic tanks.
I just got big glass plates from a very friendly fellow dutch forum member.
For free.

I have to say eating is IMO for us humans overvalued. I spend almost every dime I get
on housing and keeping my animals.
I like eye candy.

Now I gotta replace the tortoises and the teju, to make room for the bosc.
I have only a few hours now before he/she gets here.
