You do realize you do not have to buy "aquarium" salt...you can use your regular table salt to treat with also, no need really to spend extra on the "aquarium" stuff.

Personally, I would add the salt and meds....for about 7 days, do a water change and do it again until it clears up!

Good luck!!

amke sure the salt is non iodized!

Actually Liam, you can use regular table salt...it is fine really.

he is deffinitly messed up but i thiought his head was REALLY like gone so when u posted the pics it deffinitly wasn't that bad i think treatable unless he starts swiming funny

1) 40% waterchange
2) Head out and pick up some Freshwater Aquarium Salt, add at 1gm/L (None of this imperial nonsense :p). Do this by measuring out your salt, putting it in a pot with AGED (aka add a dechlorinator to the water) and stir (I find whisking works the best) thoroughly.
3) Gradually bump up the temperature to 30 degrees celcius.
4) Feed lightly if he's eating (a good sign), nothing fancy.

That is all, if fungal matter begins to grow you're going to need a medication like Pimafix.

Real question is though, how the bloody hell did that happen? What have you got in the tank that he could do that on?
