O_O i was so happy to find he was alive! i threw him back into the tank added some salt and another airstone to hopefully restore him back to life, meanwhile watching him swim to the bottom and recuperate i witnessed the culprit you guessed it the PANDA GOLDFISH he was nibbling at his fins and he desperately went for shelter (my 10 gallon is very plain) which was under my sponge filter away from the goldfish and surprisingly he hid well went right under my RTC like it was being hugged like a little brother and the catfish didnt mind they are about the same size my cat which is 4inches right now is safegaurding him lol weird huh? well now hes safe but will he make it? thanks and what should i do to help him?

but now i know why my very passive fugu puffer attacked and ate half of the other panda goldfish....
he was a pissed off puffer.

i plan on rehoming the rtc soon as it outgrows my 75 gal

and i did do research for my bichir my gf bought the puffer out of impulse but its in a brackish setting right now.
and i do not plan on keeping them i bought the bichir the other fish just happened to come along

i plan on keep 3 of the fish i have.

OP, just be aware that fish need more space than just to breathe. They also need to live their lives in the space given.
Follow through with your plans.
Hopefully your bichir is a senegal because a 75 is a decent size for it.
The puffer needs a lot of maintenance because of their beak growth (use nail clipper) and also the saltwater conversion.
And try a different specie of plecostomus. Maybe a "rubber lipped pleco" or a type of bristlenose.
 
thanks for concerns on how i should and supposed to keep my fish, im still very new to the hobby (two months exp.) ive been getting help from my friends on what to do most of them keep bichirs and jardinis. i open to criticism so no worries i just need help on what i need to do right now im renting a room so the 75 is probably best for me since its free and space wise but i was just at the fish store and theres a nice 85 gal show tank thats pretty deep and wide for 100 bucks but with filtration and everything i dont want to buy it and not be able to afford it. the 75 gal has canister filters stand and canopy so i hope all goes well when i get it delivered from san diego to orange county. i know this hobby takes alot of dedication and money. and all my fish are very small so im okay till i get the bigger tank within the next week or so. im going to keeping the bichir, pleco for long term. i understand redtail cats get huge af... which i dont mind rehoming into a better home once he gets too big. thanks for giving me info and everything negative or positive feed back both benefit me cause im still a noob. and breed of pleco i have no idea what it is just has spots and stripes i got them both for 10 bucks.

Try like a 5000 gl pond for that RTC ^^^^^^^^^ i agree with jackson!!!
 
My advice to you as a new keeper is to trade back all of your fish and restart you are no where close to even in the right direction. Your plan to keep fish until they outgrow a 20 g is just poor. You needx to restart with begginer fish.
