OMG! My Ball Python escaped last night!!! I dont know what to do!! Its 3 feet long, just shed, and HUNGRY! I put a rat in the cage last night but it wouldnt come out of the box... so I was gonna go back to take it out and I forgot!!!

This morning I got up to check if it was eaten, and it was still in the box! So I picked up the box and forced it out.. and it ran into the snakes cave... I waited a minute, didnt hear the struggle. So I picked up the cave and the SNAKE IS GONE!! OMG!! I didnt lock the top of the cage and he must have escaped!!!!! My landlord is so gonna kick me out if I dont find it!!!!!!!!!! What should I do??:cry::cry::cry:

Its not there.. is there any way I can draw it out from wherever it is??? I looked behind the stove, fridge, deep freezer.. do you think it will go back to its tank to look for food???

Should I open all the windows to make it very cold in here and then put the heater on the floor to draw it to the heat? I have to find it before it makes its way upstairs!!!!

Perhaps you should consider letting the other people know that you have an escapee, otherwise you'll find it when you hear the scream...

Do I need to worry about my baby crawling around? Its never bitten before but it is hungry...

Well, I wouldn't just leave the kid on the floor until you find the snake, do you have a pack n play? Or put him in the high chair.

I agree.

Chances are it will not eat the baby, but why run the risk?

A little off topic, but you don't normally leave live rats in with your bp overnight do you?

As far as finding the snake, I agree with the other posts.....look UNDER the refridgerator, in shoes, and generally any other tight, warm place.
