Going back to page two... never, ever, leave a live rat/mouse in a snakes tank overnight. You are lucky the rat didn't chew on the snake (Or worse).

I promise! I had no idea that it would still be alive this morning! Usually the snake eats it right away.. but thats usually my husbands job and he was away and I didnt want the snake to wait another week to eat... so I have definitely learned my lesson! I hate feeding live but thats the way hes used to...

I will never ever ever again let this happen!

Oh and I am not blonde... just sometimes act it! lol

Glad you found him.
Personally, I'd lay that tall branch down.
BPs don't usually climb anyway, and If thats not standing up, The tank is too tall for him to escape, even if you leave the lid open. Unless he had something else to climb up..

Haha I laughed pretty hard at this one. I can't laugh too much though... every time i can't spot one of my fish, i look everywhere around the tank for a jumper, and usually find the fish i was looking for staring me down from inside the tank upon standing back up.

I rather liked the ending of this story. Although, excluding the consequences, the landlord giving off a girlie scream would of been nice too. ;)

Glad all turned out well.
