OMG TEMP SPIKE HELP ME!!

okay so i tested my water in my 150g and everything was perfect so I put my oscar in there and I felt the water and its hot. I put my thermometer in there and its 97 degrees F. WHat should I do??? SHould I put ice cubes in there I turned my heater off, opened my window and turned my fan on

Drain some water from the tank, and add tap water plus dechlorine, just like doing water change... Replace your heater...

Be careful how fast you change the temp. You don't want to shock your fish. Lower it over a few hours.

i would do 20% water changes every hour of room temp water. so you dont shock your oscar

Yes use cooler water that the whole point in doing the water change. As far as how much start with 20 25 % would problay do good. Either that or you could put him in something else while your doing the water change and bring the temp down all at once.

I find this question slightly ridiculous. You figured out how to set up a fish tank but you haven't learned how to make hot water colder? Do you know how to tie your shoes? I never have issues with people asking for help but this almost seems like you're trolling.

number 2. Im freaking out because Ive never had a fish tank get up to almost 100 degrees.
