OMG......

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that sucks, sorry for you losses. As for dad man dont be to hard on him, he was just trying to be nice. I am sure he feels bad enough as it is. Its a bummer though. The suggestion to go to the lfs with him pick out new stock and explain things to him sounds like a pretty good idea. I ve done something similar with my mom when I lived at home. Now she even has her own tank and she can properly take care of it. I love that I taught this to my mom because she had my most expensive stock for well over half a year and called one day when the tank started to spike (she was even able to notice this) I was able to make the 2 hour drive to get my fish before the tank got super bad. They really enjoy the fish now too so I am very proud I was able to teach them and to know fish are in safe hands with them.

try not to kill him, maybe flip his mattress while he's sleeping
^^^FTW!!:headbang2

he must have added a lot of water for it to effect the temp that much. how much did it lower your salt level?

i top my tank off with room temp freshwater all the time. of course its ro water. not chlorinated tap.

Like mentioned before you should top off with freshwater, not sure what happened, sorry for your loss. SW tanks should never be allowed to drop to the point where they are an "eye-sore" however. You should have been keeping up with maitenence. With corals, water temp DOES mater. I top off 1g per day with aquarium temperature TAP WATER. Hope I didnt step on any toes. :D

It was a 12gal nano reef tank and I had left the water very low as I started cleaning it and got a call from work saying I was suppossed to be in that day so I had to rush and leave it.

My dad forgot to dechlorinate water before putting it before. I wouldn't blame him he just wanted to help......

X2 he was only trying to help, if your fish are more important than family you have some domestic issues goin on.

i agree that fish are family. i take care of all my fish(and i have a lot) to the best of my ability. same as my dog and lizard. just make sure the lizard has her daily poop before u take her out.:D

Oh man that sucks. Good thing my mom knows better than to touch my salties without asking first.
