you did that in picassa? That's not bad.

Yeah, like I said, gotta think of it as developing...

What do you mean photoshop is cheating?!@:popcorn::popcorn:

Sure it looks much better to someone that has never seen my fish in person-
But looks un natural to me-----I guess it's just cause I know my fish doesn't look like that....

Dont get me wrong-I appreciate the help in all of this and am loveing this little discussion.....

Not if it was your fish and I have never seen it before and you had only posted the editted pics-
Then showed me the the other pics-I might be amazed-----

When I try to edit in Browser and try to sharpen an image-

How come it never works-I can never tell a difference from the before to after pic-

Also you had to do soemthing else beside the mentioned-or does sharpening a pic change the coloration-

I love being a newbie sometimes-Damn beginners

I agree it looks unnatural.. I wen't a lil overboard :D

As you can see in the ray pics I usually try to depict them as natural as possible.. but I am a horrible photo taker and a quick 'sharpen' tool in an image editor really depicts the pictures better for me..

If it is your conquest to take perfect pix, look at CDM and AquaMojo.. maybe ask them if they use any image editors?

oh yeah btw I have a super red tiger reticulata for sale, $1000.. :D :screwy:

It is probably because you already take sharp pictures, unlike me.. you might try Picassa, it has a 1 click fix-all called 'I'm Feeling Lucky', that really seems to work well.

I think the best way to take excellent non photoshopped pics of fish, it to have excellent lighting.

Here is the 'Im Feeling Lucky' feature I was talking about.. 1 click, nothing else..

I'm thinking it is still too bright for your Severum?

Beautiful fish by the way..

LOL-No worries...

I'm sure it's a whole different ball game when editting your own pics-You can atleast adjust the coloration to what you know the fish looks like-Hard to due with other's fish...

You have shown me alot-Along with other's-It's greatly appreciated.....

I'm not sure who CDM is-
I have talked to Mo before-He is reluctant to share info or discuss with me for some reason-(probably to much of a beginner,And annoy the hell out of him)But honestly am unasure-

I know alot of their photo's are shot with external flash's....I plan on going this route very soon-But with buying two 580 ex's-It'a bit pricey...
So hopefully with the gear I have invested in-I can get something close to Mo's quality-In the long distant future....

But I take great pride once again on shooting-Non flash and non editted pics
