Not quite 3'. I couldn't really measure well as fish was stressed already, so I was in a hurry to release.

Ouch a big gash! :( (The owner said he got that from when he struggled from the bagging, must have hit his jaw on the 100G tank's edge [his former habitat])

Beautiful dark dorsal, really understand why they started calling this catfish a SHARK...

New BFF's:

Noticed that she swims favoring or tilting to the left. Must be from her confined habitat.

Noticed hyper active gills, must have been pretty stressed from the 1.5 hour long trip and the shock of hitting the tank and struggle of bagging. Please, please pray for a wonderful and quick recovery.:uhoh::(

There are some posts that are funny. There are others that are hilarious. This is funnier than hilarious.

Yeah, I'm the fish dictator in this house! I rule with an iron net hehe, is it always cold in Iceland?
Good looking new Pangsius.
In summer it reaches 26° celcius but in the winter it sometimes gets down to -20° celcius. And there can be snow from 20th. october to april. :nilly:
But it doesnt affect the heat inside the house in any way if you keep your windows shut.:grinno:

I really think this guy is in very bad shape. Some issues with the new ID Shark:

1. The "hyperactive gills" that I noticed seems to actually be a case of gill curl. I am not sure how to diagnose what stage gill curl this is, but I hope it is not too advanced. Also noticed last night that he came up to surface to get air, which I believe is one of the symptoms of GC, my old one never does that.

2. I noticed this morning that there were some small bubbles on the surface of the water, like there was a glassful of slime that was poured into the pond. The surface is not its usually polished condition.

3. Also saw that the new ID shark was ramming and chasing after the old one. I never knew ID's to have an aggressive streak.

Any suggestions from MFK experts please.

mate great setup, i hope those IDs recover theyre in such good condition. i dont think the ID could be that stressed if his chasing the other one

The 2nd ID seems to be doing very well. Except for the gill curl, I think he's recovered quite well.

The two ID's are best buds, am so happy to see how well they're getting along.

BTW, we had a huge storm and had a 10 hour power outtage. Me and the kids were in the pond splashing all over to create oxygen. I was most afraid for the 1' RTC who is in the 100G tank with the GG (who can breath air), so I temporarily moved it to the pond.

how did the pacu taste ?lol
