cool vid.
hows your filter coming along?
Because of your ff up, after weeks of procrastinating, I went to the store earlier and bought 5 pcs of these crates to stack like so:

This will augment the current 4 tier wet/dry cabinet. These new crates that I bought are made of heavy duty plastic and each crate has a dimension of: (L)21.4"x(W)13.4"x(H)7.9" giving me tons of room for bio and mechical filtration. Got them for $6.50 each. A Rio 20HF will pump around 1,100G/hr through these crates.

I have two of these currently and a small bulk head to have some under current that the IDs seem to have a special fondness for. Current will also help with the Gill Curl of the 2nd ID.

Wide shots to come once I get the two filtration cabinets up.

Ooops, I need to rescue two 30" Silver Arowanas.

Watch out for them.

Need to figure out a way to cover my pond now.

Sudden change of plans.

Good problem to have though.

The Philippines has been battered last weekend by a Typhoon whose rainfall exceeded that of Hurricane Katrina close to 300 people have perished, please h e l p if your heart or your situation allows you to.

Some places in the country still do not have electricity after a week. One of those affected was the owner of these two silver arowanas.

I quickly asked my driver to go to the rescue and scoop these two majestic monsters up.

Bagged up and squeezed into a small container, they were all curled up for the 3 hour ride...sorry aros.

Again, love at first sight

A bit of DE, I guess...

Sorry, ISO I guess is too high, can't see the details of the aros scales, too bad.

This baby is about 28"

Aro #2, not a happy camper

He's about 30"

Didn't particular like being manhandled

Quickly jumped in...

Since I really didn't plan on housing aros in this pond, I really didn't have any cover provision.

I guess this large blue covering made of sack material will do for now, but the fact that the material sticks to the surface is not so good :irked:

Would need suggestions on covering/netting.
