I just ate a worm after being inspired by this.....

Truthfully, I could never do that to a fish, don't even eat wild fish...

Stop it guys you're making me hungry.. :)

Like other users have said it would be best too keep all chems to a minimum. Just get a big barrel and age your water somewhere. If you only have chlorine in there.

I raise a pig every year for the July 4th barbecue. :) So I don't see a problem with it. Just don't think they'd taste that good. Couldn't do it with my fish though.

I'd like to do a pig, I guess its Hawiian style where they dig a hole in the ground, lay in some smoldering charcoals then some banana leaves then lay the pig in there, cover it with more banana leaves and let it slow roast over night.Thats gotta be the best.

Pig roasts are delicious. The hard part is walking up and staring it in the face to get a plateful, especially when the eyes are all cracked and yellow from the fire. Gah. :barf:

I don't think I could eat a horse. I like them too much. Something nasty, like weasels, I could do.

You probably wouldn't like the taste of weasel, to gamey as most predators are. Guinea pig isn't all that bad though. I'll eat anything once most of it twice, just not my pets. My mom told me stories about she would adopt a pig every year and raise, then her dad would kill it to eat. Broke her heart everytime, but she still ate it and understood that the next pig would be food too.

I think what makes it hard is having an animal as a pet so you get attached to it then suddenly its on your plate as dinner.

Personally I wouldn't be able to eat a pet. I had a friend once who had a pet turkey that ended up and thanks giving dinner. Surprise :) He wasn't pleased.

I think If I had a real big pacu that nobody wanted to re-home and it is my pet instead of killing it I think I would eat it. I don't want anyone to eat their pet fish but what would you do if you had a circumstance like we see on MFK all the time i.e. "My pacu is too big, does anyone want it?" 9 out of 10 times most people just kill them. I will be honest, I was thinking of raising some pacu but not as a pet but for food.
