Aside from keeping fish, a little hobby of mine (as some of you know) is racing. Well, I thought I'd post a little about it here. Awhile back I ended up with a V6 Mustang. A lot fo the American muscle car fans just cringed a little that I didn't get a V8...but that is ok. I want to point out that I curenty have a '70 Mach 1, and I had a 347 powered '93 GT at the same time that ripped off low 11's in the quarter mile. I also had a Limited Edition chrome yellow '93 5.0L LX vert back when this started.

Anyway, I took a lot of heat from my Mustang friends about owning a low horse power car that should be an American icon for power. Over the past few years, I researched, designed and now am producing a superchrager kit for it. I took the Eaton M112 off the 2003/2004 Cobra mustang and mated it to the V6 (works for the V6 Mustang and the V6 F150 trucks).
Obviously, my car isn't the 190 hp 3.8L V6 anymore. It's been built up to 4.2L with more or less custom everything. It now pushes well over 500 hp and 600 tq to the wheels with the help of the blower. I've maxed out the M112 now, and am looking to upgrade to a twin screw unit this Summer.

Anyway, here are some pics of the motor and a test start video from the guy who bought the first kit and installed it this week.

Wow cool. And that fits under the hood?

BTW, you don't know any companys that would do a small production run of something like a sheetmetal intake do ya? For something I had in mind, and wanted to get a couple produced..

I actually partnered up with a V6 Mustang performance parts company. I made a few intakes locally, but for production, I'm letting them handle it all. I would guess any local metal shop would be able to fabricate something if you have a drawing and some measurements for them.

I run a 2 1/2" cowl hood on my car, and it's as TIGHT fit.

Looking at that motor gives me a tingling feeling in my pants :D

You are going to put another blower on it? WOW! Are you using reinforced engine parts?

Nice! I'm not a Ford fan, but that's impressive:)

Nice! I remember you mentioning this car in another thread... but I didn't know it was like that. Good work.

The stock internals will hold to roughly 360 hp. My set up uses forged goodies and have held up to over 500 rwhp and 600 rwtq. MY weak point last season turned out to be my head studs. At 22 psi, I lifted the driver's side head off the block. I was using APR head studs. I've switched to the APR head bolts now after rebuilding it. The same type of pistons and rods I run have seen 700 flywheel hp on this V6 Mustang which runs a single turbo. Ironically, his name is Matt as well. (Two Matt's who have high horsepower white V6 Mustangs seemed to confuse a lot of people.)

Ewurm - Yes, I'm swapping to a larger blower soon. I've maxed out the M112 and need to move more air. :D
