One Month Update of New Lapradei Bichirs

It took them about two weeks for them to get comfortable eating. The lap next to the endli is a good eater. He got his jaws locked up with the endli last light. LoL

Last night was the first time I see the other lap eating more than three pieces of tilapia.

Poor weeks looked scared in the pic.

i think they are about 14-15" but really fat. Not sure what the previous owner fed them. I wish I had more cash to pick up his whole collection. :-(

hes a bit on the skinny side cuz it won't eat more than 2 tilapia during feeding. It's pretty frustrating seeing it so shy.

My weeksii is a shy one too, cant tell by it size, lol

Ive had it at least 3 1/2 years now and it came in at 7" and might now be about 13 1/2".
Really slow growth for me and Im thinking it is maxed out and done. It does not feed in the daytime. I had another MFK member suggest night feedings with the lights off and when I did this it finally started to put on some size.

My weeksii is fat? I never noticed, lol. Owning a pearsei gives a whole new meaning to a 'fat' fish! She is FAT!

you should have got MrBlah laps. He had a bunch with clean patterns around 13-15" for 50 ea. I would have held it for you till you come get them.

D dmd I'll try with the lights off. Funny thing is this guy will cruise the tank actively but shy at eating.
