Have you had discourse with the vendor since the delivery? What was the response?

Well, I never disputed the product itself with him since I never bought it from him. I only emailed him questioning the quality of the product (gill curl) to test his integrity, and he failed.

And no, no one else in the group buy bought the same fish so they couldn't get to pick out the better ones first.

You keep saying you didn't buy from the vendor, you bought from the group buyer.. You bought your fish from the vendor, you just threw down money for a fish. It is the vendor's fault for selling and even advertising a fish with a gill curl, whether it be from inexperience that he didn't notice the curl, or he's just a liar and sold it to you knowing of the defect he deserves negative feed back..

You are right. I guess I am still in denial and need to snap out of it. It's just I didn't think the fish would survive this long due to its defect but it's turning out so nicely that I am upset with the vendor for ripping me off in the first place.

The curl is still there but not too noticeable unless you look at it from underneath.

How long have you waited to dispute this? That TSN has grown a good amount from advertised pic, to the one you just posted. I fully agree that the vendor should not have sold this particular fish, however the more time you sit on this, the less chance of proper retribution, especially with someone whom has according to you already 'failed' an integrity test.

Like I said, it would've been better if you contacted the vendor asap. However, it still looks great and also seems to have grown bigger. It looks like the gill might just be a cosmetic problem now. The Doctor.
