Not as bad as here.
I can still find them for $200 before shipping on the internet but the only LFS that sells them here wants $300.

I would mention the site, where I got mine.............but not sure it would be cool thing to do here.............

the only place I found on the internet, selling them for 200...........just raised their sale price.............

they are 300 here at the lfs too............its the suggested retail price (MSRP)

One other thing, what do you mean here by key?

It locks the Valve Block to the Motor Head. Its actually a plastic lever, that looks like a key which is located under the Key Cover. I know this cuz, I have the directions in front of me. Although there is no mention of opening the filter for maintenance.

I am on about 6-10 forums............sometimes the rules are hard to keep straight.

I can't remember which one it is that prevents the siphoning. so I leave them both alone till I re-insert it to the moter head.

I actually thought that perhaps, you just take off the motor head ( unless your doing maintenance on the motor head in that case you would turn the lever (key) under the key cover to completely remove the valve block from the motor head.)

In any case, I will be in touch with Marineland customer service, and discuss this with them.
I have dealt with them many times before, and is one of the reason, I purchase their products.
