Ok so I have a 55 gallon fish tank that I'm going to make an angelfish tank. :) Currently I have 2 black/white marble angels in the tank, and plan on getting 6 koi angels from a local breeder. Now I know right there some of you will say that's too many angels for that tank. I know, and I've made arrangements for when the angels get larger and start forming pairs to split them up in other tanks I have. (This includes a 29 gallon and another 55 gallon) I also plan on getting 15 or so tetra with half being of the bloodfin variety and the other being rummynose. I've read and seen these fish as great schoolers that can school together and I read much about them not being fin nippers, or at least not much nipping. My tank has a pea gravel substrate on the bottom and a big leafy fake plant in the center, along with another fake plant on the left side of the tank centered in the middle from front to back (I've read they like plants in the middle perimeter). I also have a large rock formation on the right side of the tank with ruins on top and a green vine fake plant running down it. (It looks really awesome and original!) I will try to post pictures later of what the tank set up looks like right now with the two angels in it.

Very nice and cosy setup. your angels are so fortunate to have a owner like you, cheers

That's a pretty decent looking 55g! :)

I think it looks good. I don't think that is too many fish for the tank while they are young. It will get tight later.

You have a nice tank.

depends on the fish but 8 full grown angels is probably the limit for a 55. You do have some large structures to break up your tank so you will probably be fine as breeding pairs form. Have a backup plan to move pairs if needed. Ypu can also make some dividers from egg crate and use those if needed.
